A Time of Peace and Tranquillity – ‘Stay Awhile’

St. Mary’s Nairn will be open between 8.00pm and 10.00pm on Good Friday 3rd April. The church will be lit exclusively by candles, giving a peaceful atmosphere, encouraging tranquillity and inner peace.

It is an opportunity for not only our congregation, but passers-by, of all denominations or none, young and old to come into the church and light a candle as a symbol of their prayers, thoughts and concerns. When thoughts are chaotic or unstructured, a time of silence can help restore a clear and peaceful mind again.

All are welcome to come inside and enjoy the beauty and stillness, in the presence of Jesus. You may stay as long as you wish – a few minutes, half an hour, or the full two hours. We hope you are able to join us and experience the beauty of God’s love.
