As the Church prepares for Good Shepherd Sunday, which is the World Day of Prayers for Vocations, the Priests for Scotland commission have created a nine day Novena of Readings, Prayers and Reflections, titled “Following the Shepherd.”
Faithful are asked to begin praying the novena on Saturday 9th April, and continue for nine consecutive days until Sunday 17th April (Good Shepherd Sunday).
The President of the commission, Bishop John Keenan of the Diocese of Paisley, said that they had written particular prayers for each of the days, related to the eight Sees and to the prayer for vocations in general around Scotland.
In collaboration between the Priests for Scotland and the Pontifical Scots College in Rome, each day a video will be published on the College Facebook page of a member of the College community reading the prayers.
Take this opportunity and download the accompanying Following the Shepherd Novena Guide.
