Welcome to our visitors! Next to the church is our hall (entrance at the back of the building). There is a toilet available, and we also have live transmission of Mass, via our TV screen. After the Sunday and Weekday Masses, we gather in the hall for FREE tea\/coffee and cakes\/biscuits. Everyone welcome!<\/p>\n

Request from Bishop Hugh \u2013 Mass for the Unity of the Church: Recent events concerning the Society of St Pius X, and the forthcoming unlawful episcopal ordination on Papa Stronsay, both, in very different ways, affect our diocese and especially some of the faithful within it. As a response to these unusual circumstances, Bishop Hugh has requested that every Mass this weekend, in every parish in the Diocese, be offered for the Unity of the Church. There will be fall-out from these recent and upcoming events, but common prayer as a Diocese can only be a force for good.<\/p>\n

Saturday 25 July, at 4.30pm: Stratherrick Outdoor Mass (weather permitting) at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Highlands. All welcome.<\/p>\n

The play, which will also be performed at this year\u2019s Edinburgh Fringe, on the centenary of Antoni Gaud\u00ed\u2019s death, perfectly complements Pope Leo\u2019s recent trip to Spain, and his visit to the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia. There will be a special performance of \u201cGaud\u00ed\u201d at St. Columba\u2019s, Culloden, on Wednesday 15 July, at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased from the Sacristy beforehand, or \u201con the night\u201d at the door. All welcome!<\/p>\n

Congratulations to Jaiden! \u2013 one of our parishioners, Jaiden Crichton, will be received into the Church today, 28 June. During the Mass, Jaiden will receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Please continue to keep him in your prayers.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s Second Collection: \u2018Peter\u2019s Pence\u2019 \u2013 this annual collection is a concrete way to support the Holy Father in his mission of service to the universal Church. As every year, every offering \u2013 large or small \u2013 will support Pope Leo\u2019s charitable activities in response to emergencies and needs around the world. Thank you for your generosity.<\/p>\n

5% increase in our Parish Levies: the Diocese has decided to increase Parish Levies by 5 percent. The Levy is the monthly contribution made by each Parish to cover the workings of the Diocese; this includes curial salaries, sick and retired priests, seminarians\u2019 training, car loans, health insurance, and contributions to the Bishops\u2019 Conference of Scotland\u2019s various departments. From our own perspective, this means an increase from \u00a31,181 per month to a new total of \u00a31,240.05.. before a penny is spent on the upkeep of the parish!<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s Second Collection: Communications Sunday \u2013 World Communications Day was established by Pope Paul VI in 1967 as an annual celebration that encourages us to reflect on the opportunities and challenges that the modern means of social communication (the press, motion pictures, radio, television, and the internet) afford the Church to communicate the gospel message. Today\u2019s second collection today will be for this work.<\/p>\n

Today\u2019s Second Collection: The Holy Places \u2013 Every day, young Christian families in the Holy Land try to live upright lives, centred on the teachings of Jesus, just as we do. These Christians, living where Christ walked and taught, lived and died, still live in a land of war, death and destruction. The work of the Franciscan Friars for these native Christians, for the poor, and for the pilgrims who come to visit, depends greatly on your support. Thank you for your generosity.<\/p>\n

House Blessings: Eastertide is traditionally one of the seasons, together with Christmas, when houses are blessed. If you would like your house blessed, please speak to Fr. Domenico.<\/p>\n

\nby Bishop Hugh, during which the sacred oils are consecrated for use in the parishes of the diocese. In addition, all of the Priests will renew their promises before the Bishop and the Holy People of God. It is a wonderful occasion for the diocese, and everyone is welcome to attend.<\/p>\n

The Final Lenten Station Mass will take place on Friday 27 March, at 7.00pm, at St. Mary’s, Inverness. All welcome!<\/p>\n
